Every sports team has their share of douchebag fans, even our Yankees – but like I told a couple of friends of mine(one Mets fan, one Red Sox fan) there’s a big difference between the ‘fan’ and the ‘fanatic’ and neither gives you the right to act like rabid animals. I don’t get why certain fans feel that they have this blinding sense of entitlement to defend their turf/teams by bullying, beating, throwing bottles and especially cheering an injury to an opposing player. It’s sickening.
