LOVES me some New Mexico chilies. My mom gets them fresh every year and then freezes them to use throughout the rest of the year to make green chile stew. So good.

Oddly enough, I just had fresh Hatch green chilies yesterday ... on a pizza ... in Los Angeles.

Evidently, the owner of the pizza truck (yup, I said pizza truck) I ate at, was born in New Mexico and remembers chile season fondly and has a bunch flown in every year that he adds to the menu as a special topping.

Neapolitan style pizza, sausage and green chilies, fresh from a wood fire pizza oven and to your mouth in seconds. Awesome!
