Wonderfully well written stories. My baseball memories begin with this game. I was watching it on TV (afternoon game) after my kindergarten class (lucky me, it met in the morning). I remember Mom shushing me when I said (maybe in 7th?) that Larsen was pitching a no-hitter. "You NEVER say that out loud" she insisted. I shut my mouth (properly) and rolled around on my little blue hassock in front of the TV. When the game ended, I imitated Yogi, jumping up on Mom.

Mom passed away some years ago, but whenever I see a picture or read a story about the game, I can't help but think of her. Thanks, Alex.
