RLYW makes the case for Ronnier Mustelier, and I am officially on the bandwagon. Yeah, I know it won’t make much of a difference, but I like the idea of letting the 27 y.o. probably AAAA player have his cup of coffee—and maybe he turns out to be a pleasant surprise—rather than defer clockwork-like to the cooked veteran.

Oh, one other thing. Please, dear God, do not let the brass use this as an excuse to carry an extra pitcher.

After being spoiled for the better part of the last 20 years, looks like the aging, spendthrift Yankees of 2013 are in for a long summer looking up in the standings. Lack of depth is already showing and it’s over a month until the regular season starts.
