I could see Frankie rubbing some red ass the wrong way (is there a good way?). He does a fist-pump after big strikeouts, jumps-up and starts heading to the dug-out before the 3rd strike has been called. I love his energy and enthusiasm and I certainly don’t think he’s showing anybody up but I could actually see someone having an issue with it whereas the Dallas Braden stuff is pure psychodrama. I thought Beckett was throwing at him last time around. Beckett was pissed that he stepped out before a pitch on two at-bats and clearly threw up and in at him twice (the second time with a 3-2 count and the bases loaded).

[18] Did you watch the play? He’s claiming that he ran as fast as he could.. dude wasn’t even hobbling at all. No limp. Just a look of embarrassment after kicking the ball from the short left CF grass all the way to the corner and then jogging after it. I agree with Gonzalez in this case. But mainly, it’s just retarded that the 2nd place team in the NL East has to be doing this publicly.

And yes, I’d love to have Hanley on the Yanks, too. Jeter in CF mayhaps?

Abraham thinks a brawl would jump-start the Red Sox. I say just play the game, beat ’em, and then leave them in the dust. They used the Arod incident in 2004 to mount their comeback during the season. Don’t get lured into their sick psychodrama.

hanley got hurt the inning before the misplay in the field. fouled a ball off his shin. wes helms called him out big time and so did the manager. not the first time. i’d love to have him on our team!

I can appreciate the high emotion and playing hard. Sometimes that breeds a questionable play, i.e. Tex coming in hard when there’s a play at the plate. But throwing at a batter intentionally is just bush-league and juvenile. Let the Red Sox be known as the bratty kid brother. Beat them with runs scored. And yeah, for the love of cripes NO MORE INJURIES!

btw, y’all hear all the trash talk going public down in Miami with the Marlins? What a joke, man. Hanley Ramirez loafed on a booted ball in the 2nd (allowing 2 runs on the play). Fredi Gonzalez took him out of the game after that half-inning. Now he’s holding him out of the lineup until he apologizes to the team, and Ramirez won’t–just criticizing Fredi for being a bad manager and never playing in the show. haha fucking rich spoiled assholes.
