But I do want Montero to do extremely well.

Childhood innocence is so awesome, I still wish I had that view of the world versus the jaded one that develops as you age. I remember after the Giants won the Super Bowl, and then hearing before the ’87 season started the news that LT was suspended for testing positive for crack-cocaine. I saw people that had nothing going for them in my neighborhood doing those things, never in a million years did I ever think LT would be associated with that group of people.

I hope Allison isn’t introduced to that, seeing an older athlete take on a reduced role as a younger one starts taking on a more significant role is easier to understand. Good luck to her, and I share her same love for Posada.

I can’t believe that the Red Sox won’t win the Wild Card, then again I still can’t believe that the Yankees are winning the division by 8 games.

Nice column, Hank.

Alison, I love Posada too. But he has other things to do than play for the Yankees. He’s forty years old and he has two kids, younger than you, and it’s probably time for him to go be with them anyway.

I’ll miss him, though.

Awesome write up! I don’t have kids but I do teach that age group. Praise Jesus!

Beautiful, Hank, beautiful.

Just finishing up watching the game replay on MLB.tv.

Just watched HeyZeus smoke the oppo-field shot into the RF bleachers.

Somehow, I think Alison’s gonna find some room in her fan’s heart for TEH JESUS …
