Fister, yes. But he hasn't pitched a lot, so I'm not sold.
Sliced, be careful or you will become the resident Proctologist.

Yeah, I'm very uncomfortable having used 'Fister' and 'Proctologist' in the same comment.

2) Interesting. I just know Fister has pitched well for them too. I mean, when it comes down to it, I say, who cares? Because if you are going to be the champs you have to beat the best.

Tampa has to throw out its front line starters in order to gain the WC. So their rotation is going to be in disarray for the post season. But neither Boston nor Tampa is going to get past the first round. And I fear Detroit more than Texas. Verlander $ Fister are just firing on all cylinders right now.

First, I'm with you, big deal. I don't like losing, but this was not exactly one of the worst losses of the season. Move on.
Second, no, I do not root against the Yankees! Much as I enjoy the suffering of RSN, I don't think we'd be better off facing the Rays in the ALCS than facing the Red Sox. Remember: Price, Shields, Hellickson. Now think: Beckett, Lester... Lackey. (And doesn't it seem like bad karma to flop and let the Rays in? Wouldn't the baseball gods punish the Yankees later by having the Rays beat the crap out of them in October?)

Third, I'd marginally prefer to face the Tigers. Yes, Verlander. But the Rangers seem like a significantly better team than the Tigers. Cabrera, sure, and then who else? Verlander, sure, and then who else? But it's a close call.

Boy Alex, that's a tough call. As to the Red Sox, you almost wish they get in and somehow upset one of the other teams. In my mind, they're toast for the post season but wouldn't it be great for them to eliminate the Tigers or the Rangers? I don't know if you want to face the Tigers or the Rangers. They both present problems but at least we have the home field advantage and that's huge in a five game series.
