The only difference with Pavano is that he was counted on at one point to be better than he actually was, which is what really riled a lot of folks up besides the always being injured factor. Capuano, you know what to expect from him and he didn’t really surprise anyone; less angst from lesser expectations.

Kinda reminded me of an old Carl Pavano game I watched at Yankee Stadium. Ole Carl gave up a boat load of runs, and the crowd was sitting on their hands generally grumpy as we mostly were during Pavano games, and then the Yankees came up to bat and – mayhem. Carl who? Exactly. Nothing like an old fashioned blowout to bump the run differential.
