If Cole is anything like Moose, that would be a great deal in the long run, especially if the new CBA ends up giving them a high tax ceiling. I figure the team only needs him to instantly have the best staff in the AL: Cole, Severino, (German?), Tanaka, Paxton, Happ with Montgomery in the wings and more to come from the farm. All they need to do is STAY HEALTHY; whatever wisdom Cole has acquired in that regard that he could impart on the rest would be worth the commitment.

[7] Well, borrowing from rbj’s searching… In its past, the address was the site of the New Montauk Theater, which was “the” Brooklyn theater of its day, but it was torn down for the building shown in the photo. After Spear’s Furniture closed, it became part of May’s Department Store, which occupied surrounding buildings. Now it’s Cookies department store, which apparently sells lots of kids clothes. So yes, a nice story of how a community fixture went through some changes to become a community fixture of a different sort.

[9] I was thinking about it, and I would take 8-10 years of Cole. He seems like he will still be great at 37/38/39, and it keeps him around for as long as the not so baby any more Baby Bombers grow up fully.
