First his Achilles and now the real kiss of death, the Mets signed him. Still only a 1 year deal and maybe he figures it out and comes back to the Bronx in 2021?

Talk on the airwaves was that he’s building a house in Jersey; it would be pretty tough under his circumstances to uproot himself and family; again I’m surprised the Mets actually made a smart deal (two in a row if you include reworking Cespedes’ deal). Is that Beltran pushing for a former teammate or is the Cohen deal coming more into play? I can’t believe for a second the Wilpons would have even changed their minds after walking away, much less approve a sensible deal.
