Hi folks from another hot spot. We're finishing our first full week of lockdown. Zoom is becoming essential. If you are a member of the tribe, you might consider a Passover seder on Zoom - that's what we're doing. Also, had a family wide Zoom (around the country and world) last week with >100 participants - it was wonderful!

Missing opening day in DC yesterday, but that flag will be raised someday!

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

[5]
Jaysus, RBJ. So sorry.
My pup is 11 and while the end isn't in focus, it's not so far around the bend. Been savoring our walks, even if 30 minutes takes 45 these days.

Spending my days looking for PPE for our senior living communities, and tracking our positive cases. Not fun.

Aussie Rules season is still happening, in front of empty stadiums, FWIW.

Hope everyone is safe and healthy. I definitely have to avoid people as I’m currently living with my parents who are 80+ with underlying health issues.

My old dog Teddy, aside from getting older and arthritic, heart murmur and enlarged liver was doing fine.

Yesterday after his first walk, instead of sitting by me for his share of Cheerios, I found him lying under the dining room table, berating laboriously. Regular vet couldn’t take him, emergency trip instead.

She stabilized him in the oxygen tent, ran some diagnostics. Fluid sac around his heart, and probable cancer. Prognosis not good for a 13+ y.o. dog.

So I made the decision.

Didn’t feel right not having a dog around. Local SPCA only had a couple of small dogs. Inquired about one. They were a bonded pair, owner surrender as there’s a new baby, and the they didn’t have time.

So now I have two Jack Russells

[3] That's amazing. I really hope it lasts.
I'm really worried about New York. It's bad, and it's gonna get worse.
I'm worried about all of us, but New York is the front line now.

Thanks Alex. Take care.

No baseball has me hyperfocused on the news, which is not good.

Life in Japan is mostly unchanged, aside from all the hand washing. We go to work. People are going out. It's a quite a bit less busy and there are no tourists, so it seems much quieter.

Just recently some businesses are switching to remote working. However, they are debating opening the schools again in April.

We have been very fortunate and no one knows why.

Sending out good vibes to you and everyone in the USA and other hard hit countries.
