The Blogfather

David Pinto’s “Baseball Musings” should be required daily reading for all baseball fans. John Perricone calls Pinto his “blogfather”, and it’s no wonder why. Pinto is like the James Agee of bloggers: his prose is direct, concise, and illuminating. Pinto is passionate yet even-handed, and has a wry sense of humor to boot. Here [1] is a nice supplement to the Yankee, Sox story.

Bob Klapisch [2]has more on the He Said/She Said soap opera behind the scenes of the Contreras deal, including lots of sound and fury, and some more broken furniture.

Boston Herald columnist Tony Massarotti [3]suggests the Sox could gain a measure of revenge if they signed Rocket Clemens, though I find it hard to believe that there are many Red Sox fans who share his sentiments.
