LET’S MAKE A DEAL

With the trading deadline looming (4:00 p.m. est this afternoon), the Yankees are in the mix for some kind of deal. Surprised? Rumors are flying, but the one that seems most likely involves Reds’ third baseman, Aaron Boone ^[1], and injured reliever Gabe White. There are also big dreams of a blockbuster ^[2]—Vlad, Giles—but those are most likely just dreams. One thing is for sure, Brandon Claussen ^[3] will be part of any package the Bombers make. So much for the pitcher of the future.
