Call it what you want: throttled, bashed, mashed, scorched, whipped, spanked, humiliated, smacked down, whatever. I prefer to look at it like Popeye the sailor: “It was embarraskin.” (Errors by Bubba Crosby and Gary Sheffield were the icing on the gravy.)
