A statue of Pee Wee Reese [1] with his arm around Jackie Robinson [2] was unveiled yesterday in Brooklyn commemmorating one of baseball’s most touching moments [3]. Reese was a mensch [4] in the truest sense of the word. Veteran baseball scribes Vic Ziegel [5] and Ira Berkow [6] report.
