The Red Sox [1] were blanked in Oakland [2] last night and now trail the Yankees by seven games in the AL East. Meanwhile in the Big Apple, as the Yankees prepare for a difficult week [3], the back page of the tabloids read, “Crash Test Dummy.” Ah, yes, the continuing saga [4] of Carl Pavano [5]. Oh, and there is still more [6] on the struggling Alex Rodriguez [7], if you still have the stomach for that sort of thing. Cliff will have a preview of the Tigers series later in the day. It should be an exciting week.
Let’s Go Yan-Kees.
