nichols emerges as a fascinating character in "pictures at a revolution" by mark harris. it's about the 5 films that comprised the oscar race of 1968 and the birth of a new cinema. high recommendation, if you like the behind the scenes stuff about classic films.

Nothing to add to this. But last night I watched a season 2 Simpsons where they flashed back to how Homer and Marge first met. Tons of killer moments, one of my faves was when Barney asks this very 70s-looking girl "Will you go to the prom with me? " and she comes back with "Ewwww, I wouldn't go to the prom with you if you were Elliot Gould!"..funny for so many reasons!
