I'd trust him over A.J. in the pen any day...

[2] Don't know. AJ usually has decent stuff for the first few innings where he strikes out the world. Then he falls apart. AJ at least can strike out people.

But Hughes seem to have trouble getting beyond strike 2. Out of the pen, I think I would distrust both Hughes and Burnett equally.

I dunno, this works for me (and frankly, my reaction was the same as mp's above).

Hughes, Soriano, Robertson and Mo is a pretty capable set of short relievers.

[5] Hmmm, except for Swisher who is probably nursing his hand that he bruised on the wall a couple of games ago, the Rays get the "A" team.

MLB wants Boston in the playoffs for TV ratings and press buzz. Apparently so do the Yankees.
