Last year, we ran John Schulian’s terrific memoir series, “From Ali to Xena.” It was originally published in 50 parts. Now, here it is again, in three long segments for easy reading.

Enjoy. It sure am sweet.

This series was captivating.

As great as John's writing is, I am equally impressed by the frequency he had to work while harboring great animosity toward colleagues or bosses. I can't imagine functioning in some of those spots, and John thrived.

His comfort with not having to be liked by everyone in his chosen industry was a good lesson.

Agreed, and he's retained his love for those worlds in spite of some of the nastiness. Especially the world of newspapers.

I am jealous of anyone who is just reading the series for the first time. What a treat.
