Nobody seems to be saying, but is Tex's injury related to the one he had last year?

In the absence of statements to the contrary, I assume it is. I'd like to think that the way to have fewer injuries is to play younger players. Sacrifice skill levels to eliminate medical reports. But then again, the youngsters seem to have unhealthy records, too. Doesn't make a lot of difference anyway. Tex wasn't going to carry the team.

And, all this talk about replacing Granderson. If there wasn't a SRO crowd for DH last year, he would have hit only, despite his excessive K'ing, but they didn't have anyone else who could field.

Nice moment on the field after today's game with everyone wishing Tony Pena luck. After seeing that, I'm officially rooting for the DR to win it this year.

If Teixeira's injury is indeed aggravation of an existing injury, seems like we might be looking at a Gardner-type scenario.
