What’s in a Name?

The Yankess acquired Vernon Wells from the Angels today. In return, the Angels got Exicardo Cayones and Kramer Sneed.

How’s about that for a pair of first-class names?

Dang, and Exicardo was on my fantasy Scrabble team.

am I the only one who thinks he can provide Ibanez-level production? That's not an MVP or anything, but it's a semi-useful piece. Like, is that THAT much of a stretch?

He is hitting well this spring, and who knows? He is going to help get the Yanks under 189 mil next year, and if they catch lightning in a bottle, maybe he can knock in some runs until we get Jeter, Grandy, and if/when we get Tex & ARod back in the fold. Hey! We still have Cano right?

And the best bullpen in the AL.

[5] As I posted on another thread: the march to reassemble the 2006 Blue Jays continues apace.

[6] So is Greg Zaun going to be next?

[7] He would be like an irresistible shiny object dangling in front of Cashman's eyes. Look away! Look AWAY!

Sorry to see Snead go. Tiger's catching up to his record of PGA victories.

[2] Yup. I'm thinking Bob Cerv. Or maybe Elmer Valo.

[10] Reminds me of the jazz kissaten lunch menu of A-set: Sweet Natto Om Rice and B-set: Chinese Plate. Some known hideousness and some unknown, probably hideousness.

Looks like a winning lineup to me. Rather see Overbay at First base than Juan Rivera. Overbay is every bit the great glove that Tex is and Rivera looks lost at first. Rather give up a hit than an error especially since we'll be seeing Nunez throwing from shortstop. Those could end up anywhere.
