cervelli as a buc is not so bad.
but aren't the signs of mccann not being able to catch a starter's slate there - which means the buc plays a lot - again.

Oh, I read [1] before looking at the article, and at first I thought ms. oct. was saying Frankie was traded to the Pirates!

I'll skip over my usual soliloquy on intangibles and stats and the way rooting starts with liking, and just say I like Frankie Brains. During his abbreviated 2013, he showed some real signs of figuring things out offensively, and I'd like to see that wasn't a fluke.

Not thrilled about the PEDs. His whack at the candid apology routine fell short of Andy levels, but was far better than the ARod-Bonds benchmark for douchiness. The person who should really be mad about Cervelli's conduct is the person he might have cost a shot back in 2011... whoever was the Yankees' farm system catching-star-in-waiting... oh, wait.

Is it the power of a nickname? The old gritty-gutsy motif? Or my soft spot for the homegrown? I dunno. But I'll be glad to see him back.

I'm with BBinNC. I kinda, sorta like the guy too. And I get the feeling he's a Yankee in his guts. Not happy about the PEDs, but the man paid his debt to BB society, so give him another chance.
