This move by J.R. Smith last night made for Fun City at the Garden (well, for everyone except Anthony Bennett, the Cavs’ defender).

That's some crouching tiger, hidden dragon shit, right there. Changing direction in mid-air. JR's fun to watch when he's on.
The team is still hard to believe in though. The hole is deep, and the elite teams are playing team-ball at a higher level, and more consistently.

my reaction on my couch last night was pretty much like Tim Hardaway Jr's

This next stretch of schedule has some scary patches (Miami, OKC, Portland) but they're back to the small lineup with Melo at PF...which is how it should always be. The East is so bad that the 6th Seed really isn't out of reach, and if they can get there then they'd at least have a puncher's chance

His little hop when he lands is good too.

I'm reading Dr. J's autobiography right now (which is excellent and highly recommended, btw) and he writes a lot about the ABA and the old Rucker Summer League when guys like Earl Manigault and PeeWee Kirkland were doing their thing. I kinda think maybe JR was just born in the wrong decade.
