Hot damn.

I hope we're not turning into the Mariners where we win reliably only once every five days.

Beauty of a game.

I also loved seeing Solarte's dinger. Good call by Aaron Boone in that it had shades of Reggie as Solarte got down on one knee. He muscled that baby out.

I have seen most of Tanaka's starts (It is great that MLB or ESPN seems to pick up each of his games) He didn't look like he had his best stuff, and still manages a 4 hitter, 8ks and shutout. He is poised for a no-hitter at some point this year. Interesting that he has trouble at the start and gets better.

I hope the energy from his game carries over, the Yanks need to string some wins together during this soft spot in their schedule.

Unrelated to Tanaka's studliness, I'd like to go on record about how much I hate that the Yanks are playing dress-up with the novelty hats, etc.

It looks ridiculous, and it is a testament to how money trumps everything, including tradition.
