Silly, Isn’t It?

I-am-sorry-apology

The Yankees and Alex Rodriguez continue their childish dance.

Hopefully Alex is going to be a humble Bumble. David Pinto has a good suggestion that the bonuses go to charity.

As long as we're hoping, I hope the charity and I have the same address...

I think Charity lives just down the block from Mystique and Aura.

As our old friend WilliamNYY23 said on Twitter, did A-Rod apologize for winning the 2009 Serious for the Yanks?

I really hope he hits 30 taters this year!

It seems ridiculous and petty that they are going to dispute the bonus money for his home runs and downplay it because of his steroid use.

I know he is a hard person to like (I don't like him), but they are the ones who signed him, and their own greed prompted that ridiculous contract where they essentially bid against themselves.

As disliked as ARod is, this doesn't paint the Yankees well in the eyes of players who are thinking of signing with them. Why run down your own product? What businesses do that? Ugh!

He brings trouble to a team which has no character and only a modicum of talent. As Kaplisch wrote, Girardi has a problem. Remember, he works for the Yankees, as does Cashman. The guys who write the checks, write the lineup card. Does A Rod try to hit 6 and claim his bonus which the Bosses don't want to give him? If Joe doesn't give him a chance to hit them does he have a arguable claim. Will he let him play the field, and if so, where? Can A Rod be a utility player? Does he talk with Beltran? Will he talk with Suzyn and Sterling?

What I would really like to know is when Joe knew how hurt A Rod was and whether he knew A Rod was juicing.

And, the Yankees argument against paying the bonuses seems strong.
