For the first time, I have begun to think in terms of the post-season. I know that it's far from over in the A L East, but how great is it to even have the hope of an amazing and historic season?

(1) in that context you gotta worry about KC's getting Cuedo.

3 Evil Empire   ~  Jul 27, 2015 7:21 pm

Good start by Nova. He's pitching nice and easy

4 GaryfromChevyChase   ~  Jul 27, 2015 7:31 pm

Hedley can flash some leather

5 Evil Empire   ~  Jul 27, 2015 7:44 pm

The power report: Didi and Ryan.

6 Evil Empire   ~  Jul 27, 2015 7:46 pm

Score truck!

7 rbj   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:31 pm

[2] I actually started thinking about home field advantage this morning. Vacation is making me giddy.

8 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:44 pm

Freaking A-Rod.

9 thelarmis   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:44 pm

Happy Birthday, A-Rod!!!

Fuck yeah, dude!!! Now, let's make sure we can celebrate his 40th with a win!

10 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:46 pm

Alex! Teix can't catch a break.

11 rbj   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:46 pm

Happy 40th, Alex!

12 rbj   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:50 pm

Tigers sending Shane Greene to the pen.

13 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jul 27, 2015 8:51 pm

Didi is looking slick.

14 mhoward120   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:03 pm

How could Beltran not have scored?
I coulda scored and I'm 64 fer chrissakes.

15 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:03 pm

Atta boy, Didi!

16 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:04 pm

Didi is not disappointing at all.

17 thelarmis   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:08 pm

Sir Dodo with 4 ribbies!

18 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:23 pm

I couldn't eat four rib eyes. Maybe two. They are my favorite steaks.

19 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:31 pm

McCann has sucked since the All Star break, huh?

20 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:36 pm

Teix is good at other things, fortunately.

21 Bronx Boy in NC   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:39 pm

Was that Teix showing up the 3B coach (Espada?) over a bad send?

Right or wrong, seems like a violation of The Unwritten. Unless there's an angle I'm missing. My comment here is really a troll for another explanation.

[21] looked that way to me too. It was a good send with two outs, up by four, me thinks.

23 Bronx Boy in NC   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:47 pm

[22] Teix wasn't running like a man who realized somebody might try to throw him out. I agree it was a good send in that spot. Sometimes you gotta just point that finger at yourself.

24 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:51 pm

[23] maybe he did after, in game Tex can be a little dicky. But, I don't there is anyone on the team as leaden of feet.

25 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:54 pm

D-Rob on the hill for the ChiSox to close out the BoSox. Chicago has double-digits.

26 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:56 pm

Didi, just can't have an all good game.

27 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:57 pm

Robertson gets two tough batters, then walks Daniel Nava, who is slugging .188.

28 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 9:59 pm

And Nava scores after taking second on Def Indif plus a Panda single.

29 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:04 pm

D-Rob walks another. Tying Red Sock on base with two out in the ninth...

30 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:07 pm

Wait, why is Betances in this game? Didn't he pitch yesterday?

31 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:07 pm

Hamma finishes.
Man, the Red Sox are really bad. Really bad.

32 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:11 pm

Yay!
GG.
C uz.

33 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:12 pm

Nice win. And I like Tex showing some fire when someone--the third base coach it seems, never mind Didi Gregarious who didn't seem to say much about sliding--messed up and he got nailed at the plate.

34 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:12 pm

Another good Win. Cheers, all!

35 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:14 pm

Nice win. Betances is thinking, man I need to be paid more.

Nova did well in that heat. And Arod is forty. Wish I was forty again...

36 Bronx Boy in NC   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:24 pm

[33] I dunno there. He was definitely looking back to the coaching box, not at Didi. And he did slide. What he didn't do was bust it.

Even if the send was bad - and with two outs I don't think it was - you don't show up your coach like that.

37 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:47 pm

[36] Girardi was asked about it in his post game pressed, and he was a little annoyed, but didn't name at who. He just said repeatedly, "everything is ok".

38 thelarmis   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:51 pm

tex created a run in Minny with his legs. i believe it was the game with our big comeback.

tonight, espada admitted to telling tex to "take it easy" when he rounded 3rd. that's why mark was so mad. espada apologized, tex said all was good but "that can't happen."

good win tonight!

39 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jul 27, 2015 10:55 pm

Wow, Tex is pissed, said Espada told him easy, easy, meaning there would be no play at the plate. Said Espada appologized, that he made a mistake. Still you can't show that kind of anger directed to a coach during a game.

40 thelarmis   ~  Jul 27, 2015 11:48 pm

tulo to the blow jays.

reyes + minor leaguers to the rockies.

41 Boatzilla   ~  Jul 28, 2015 2:18 am

Highlight of my game, I finally heard Sterling's HR call for Didid.

"Gregorious you make Yankee fans Euphoriuous. Yes in Didi."

Sterling, may stink at radio play by play, but he is one more reason it's good to be alive.

42 Boatzilla   ~  Jul 28, 2015 4:16 am

BTW, isn't Brendan Ryan a frontrunner for the "Harry Reems Award."
