The official reporting date for pitchers and catchers is still two days away, but a number of Yankees are already in Tampa working out. Phil Hughes, who has taken Sean Henn’s number 34, is among the other pitchers in camp. He went to a NASCAR race at Daytona with Shelley Duncan and Ian Kennedy on Saturday, so count those two as in camp as well as Henn, Jeff Karstens (per Pete’s post), and . . . Carl Pavano [insert joke]. There are others there as well, I’m sure. Up around these parts, my lawn is frozen solid, but news like that makes me think I can smell the grass.
