[11] Never lived in NC. I’m in Virginia (DC area) and have been except for a few years in Rizzo’s Wrigley hood. If you play near our nations capital (and can’t blame you if you don’t), drop a date/location.
[16] ah, not sure why i thought i remembered NC for some reason... post covid, i was playing VA, DC, MD, DE somewhat regularly. if that happens again, i'll definitely let you know. i almost moved to the springfield area in fairfax after college, but i got that moved me to atlanta and i've never left!
check out our middle infield! how 'bout a double steal?!
dammit. i preferred when durbin sucked and boston booed the hell out of them. and when they about 15 games under/out. sucks they're in the postseason...
i've missed my online family here! sooo glad alex and hank have left the lights on for us! hopefully, shaun p, cult, and others will stop by tonight/tomorrow. i might text each of those guys in a little bit...
[38] I rely on the banter in these tines. After my first post though I was getting database errors for 10 minutes so I thought I was gonna have to go without it tonight!
I spent last weekend in Madison, WI -- a favorite of yours I believe, thelarmis!
I did have one Spotted Cow but then I went crazy and drank a bunch of Indiana beers.
Just compare the Roman Anthony hype vs the predictions for Schlittler.
I don't see how anybody could claim the national media over-hypes the Yankees.
(Also whoever rates MiL prospects, I guess yours is not an exact science.)
I love how the Sox brought in their lefty to pitch to Jones and Wells. They both get hits, then he walks Goldy, then they bring in the righty to pitch to Rice...
Oh, Monasterio replaced Anthony because Anthony hurt himself swinging the bat.
He did that a couple months ago too.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think swinging a bat hard is an important part of being a baseball player. Boston should hire someone to teach their batters how to do that safely.
i was still teaching when the game began. did the crowd give sunny grey the business in the 1st? i was surprised he didn't get an earful this season in the bronx after he completely shit on us, then shut us down. i'm surprised cc loved him so much since the little fuck hated being a yankee.
[200] i hear ya. he's a twitter guy, which i'm not. but, i see him there sometimes and we'll email every now and again. he seems to be doing great, as always! : )
[224] Yeah, we were supposed to get together, like a year ago (!) then he never got back to me (I refuse to check Twitter) and I'm the worst about keeping in touch with people. I should send him an email today.
[230] if you email him, say hey! yeah, i don't care for twitter, but it's good for baseball news. i used to love email, but not any longer for many reasons. i much prefer texts. that said, there are a few old banterites i keep in touch with here and there via that medium. i'm gonna text cult now! i hope all is well with him, as i'm surprised he hasn't gotten in touch in a while now...
[232] it's one of the very few strong suits of mine, and i love being in touch with many of my banterites very/semi regulary. it's awesome seeing you online nearly daily! : )
I still think Tracy took Gray out too early. But I'm thankful.
On the other side, everything I hate about Boone and Cashman is working in the Yankees favor right now (although they have made a small shift to small ball). It's a work turned upside down.
Fuck The Trop. Let's get payback for giving them our minor league stadium last season and them taking away a homer from Judge, just like the Shit Sox 4-Letter Network game took a homer away from our Captain.
I hate sayings like ‘he has as much pop as anyone in this building’, when what they mean is he has MORE pop than just about anyone. Irks the frick outta me…
Thelarmis, did you happen to see the breakdown of Troy Aikman using that phrase or variations over and over during a game a couple weeks ago? “This secondary is as good as any football.” Or “This quarterback throws as nice a ball as anyone in the league.” It was comical.
i thought headrick was up and it'd be him. but, apparently, weathers first assignment back from injury is going to be a tough one in a crazy important position.
they have a really good no-name closer. never heard of the guy. i believe he was perfect in saves chances during the regular season. time to change that tonight.
The Wells play sucked, but I can’t be terribly upset about this game. Cole was good, the bullpen was great. I really like that we’ve got Rodón, Schlittler, and Fried coming.
Hey, y'all, long time no see. This web server was running into some memory problems today, so I've played around with tweaking some settings and stuff to make it more resilient. It may need a memory upgrade eventually, but until then, I've added some monitoring stuff so if the site gets stuck, it should restart the web server automatically within a minute or so. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Those didn’t seem like bad at bats to me. Rice with a solid ball to left, Bellinger with a hard liner to second. Yes, García struck out meekly, but it wasn’t a bad inning. And now the Rays have first and second after two ground balls. The result is better, I’ll take hard hit balls in the air over grounds balls over the course of nine innings.
I hate narratives, but this game fits the narrative, doesn’t it? It’s hard to win a game anywhere anytime when you make five errors, certainly not in the postseason.
That’s the headline, but the Yankees have also been really unlucky with balls hit in play. Bellinger absolutely smoked that ball with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth, but it was caught at the wall. And the bottom half happened. Just awful all around.
I don't know if it'll be fun but it'll be something. Thanks for the fresh thread, AB. Let's go Yankees!
I don’t like this Judge is injured policy.
Cam on the bump tonight- I’m feeling good.
ok I'm here! Go Yankees!
hey, team! i'd like that adley a-b back, because too many pitches, but cam looks pretty good and strikes out the side! nice abs challenge by wells
Ballsy challenge. Or is it a strikey chaallenge?
nice play, rosey
The announcers were ready to call that long AB the turning point in the series after two whole batters. And yet, Cam K’s the other three guys.
Too soon to mute the audio and cue up a Wilco or Sturgill album?
cam's curve looks great and his heater is reaching 101
[8] i've already muted the horrible broadcast and am listening to sims & suzyn. only thing is the radio feed is ahead of the tube...
[8] not sure if you're still in NC, knuckles, but i played there the last two saturdays!
siddown, fuckface! i friggin' abhor duran.
nice work!
Drinking a Yeti Great Divide Chocolate Peanut Butter... Quality beer for hopefully a quality win!
[8] They're absolutely terrible.
Rizzo is a moron, I never knew that.
I swear I would rather have the NESN crew call this game than these nitwits.
[11] Never lived in NC. I’m in Virginia (DC area) and have been except for a few years in Rizzo’s Wrigley hood. If you play near our nations capital (and can’t blame you if you don’t), drop a date/location.
[14] jayne! great ale and i have a special affinity for all things yeti (the name of my old trio)!
go, kid, go! (like, go ... steal second)
The kid!
[17] omg I forget your trio was called Yeti!
agree, steal it kiddo!
Anything is better than Joe Morgan or Tim McCarver. RIP to both.
or that. Good job Volpe!
[15] hello, old friend! : )
thanks for not challenging, adley
dammit. i preferred when durbin sucked and boston booed the hell out of them. and when they about 15 games under/out. sucks they're in the postseason...
FUCK YEAH!!!
wooh! Way to go Wells!
Redemption from Wells and Volpe. Hell yeah!
[19] i'm actually (randomly) wearing a shirt of our in this week's DRUMonday video posted yesterday!
here comes the 42nd pitch in the 2nd...
Hey thelarmis!
Man I had high hopes for the Spencer Jones AB, and low expectations for Austin.
Can't predict baseball.
Nice one AW. If we’re gonna hit singles, then we need to, uh, keep hitting singles.
Good start from the back half of the order.
When October comes, it's a clean slate.
Words of wisdom from Anthony Rizzo.
Who is also a time traveler, apparently.
Scrolling for a couple solid albums and switching to music after the third inning ends.
Best of both worlds.
5 Ks out of 8!
[14] just root beer for me tonight. thursday night will be beer-beer!
[36] hopefully a quality root beer!
I don't drink alcohol much anymore but its playoffs so its beer.
i've missed my online family here! sooo glad alex and hank have left the lights on for us! hopefully, shaun p, cult, and others will stop by tonight/tomorrow. i might text each of those guys in a little bit...
[37] cheers!
that was not a 4-seamer, nbc.
[38] I rely on the banter in these tines. After my first post though I was getting database errors for 10 minutes so I thought I was gonna have to go without it tonight!
Caleb Durbin still sucks, don't worry.
I spent last weekend in Madison, WI -- a favorite of yours I believe, thelarmis!
I did have one Spotted Cow but then I went crazy and drank a bunch of Indiana beers.
SIDDOWN!
Forget the curveball. Give 'em the heater!
[41] same! i messaged with just fair to see what was going on with the site. probably more traffic than it's used to nowadays...
[42] madison is great!
Ramos has to do better if he is gonna bat third.
i hate watching ramos play baseball.
WTF Ramos? Shite.
[46]Like hitting the ball into play?
[49] that would be a nice start haha
the martian would probably be better than ramos.
There is zero consistency to the online radio feed vs. the tv. They are taking turns which one goes first.
7th K!
Siddown Rutschman.
[52] i've got sims & suzyn on via the mlb app.
[51] Batting for sure. I don't think The Martian can handle the hot corner. ; )
sit the fuck down, a-hole!
Did he just have a stroke?
[56] no, martian for ramos, not rosario. switch-hitter, speed, was better from the right side this season.
I'm still in shock the White Sox are good
love that great fielding
[42] case in point!
Long live George!
Yeah, the White Sox. It's hard to get your mind around.
But they have the Pope on their side! (The Astros really needed to get themselves a rabbi if they were gonna have a chance.)
run on adley after that...
[64] fair point
God I am so glad Trevor Story is not on the Yankees.
Can you imagine?
good on you, rosey!
Nice!
Bunt Vople, FFS!
I feel good about this Jones AB.
Ready?
After watching the Yankess all season, I really don't expect a key hit with a RISP.
damnit
motherfucker.
Argh.
Yup.
should have bunted...
Wouldn’t it have been great if Volpe had bunted?
Not an awful AB by Volpe, and Jones swung the way he shoulda with those splits.
Dems da breaks.
As great as Cam has been, he has thrown about 6 fastballs neck high that eat up pitch count.
[80] yeah Girardi was just going over that. He's too wild on those pitches to get the swings.
phew
if cam starts the 6th, boonie better have someone warming up right away
I think starting the sixth is fine. But we'll need good relief, for sure.
suboptimal
damn hit it well but right at him
oh, good - tolle's out
Goldschmidt is such a one trick pony by now, if he doesn’t put the ball in play on the first pitch, they should just PH immediately.
BENNY BABY!!!
great bullpen move!
There ya go.
Okay the relief pitching won't have to be *quite* as good as I'd feared.
RICE BABY!
Ben FUCKING Rice!
ramos made an out against a lefty. go figure...
Man, I love Ben Rice. (I also love two-out runs.)
[89] RSN is going to be screaming like a nursery school.
Cam and Rice holding it down.
I love the lowkey puritan nastiness here.
My (grand)Pop was from New Haven and he had a similar nice/nasty streak to him.
cam has (at least) 20 swing and misses tonight!
pinch hitting for ted williams, jr.
[98] Just thinking that.
After all that hype, national media but maybe triple that in New England... PH for by Monasterio.
still hittin' 100 and 9 Ks
CAM!
he went on the pitch before, but that's 10 strikeouts and (like) 25 swing and misses!!!
Cam!!!!!
Kid is unreal. Dave Winfield approves of #31.
KKKKKKKKKKam!
Give Cam the top of the seventh.
[104] i always think of winnie when i see cam's #31!
Just compare the Roman Anthony hype vs the predictions for Schlittler.
I don't see how anybody could claim the national media over-hypes the Yankees.
(Also whoever rates MiL prospects, I guess yours is not an exact science.)
[106] 107 pitches... headrick was already warming.
give us a bigger lead here!
beautiful. make it matter.
Lombard will hit for himself?
if it had been ramos up, i bet we would have seen big g pinch hit.
our old aaa closer who's sweeper got swept when he was in the bronx...
[109] And yet....
Ride that horse!
killa cam - ACE!
Wish his night hadn’t ended like that. But damn he was good.
Yeah, it's time.
Although that curve looked good. He still looked pretty sharp except for fastball control.
Clappity clappity clappity.
we can double up the 4-door sedan, since he has a bad leg.
Ahhhhhh.
Good job, PB.
[120] told ya!
Thanks for your efforts, Rizzo. Go back home to your couch.
AV needs to be a bit crisper on the DP pivot.
Love seeing the kids with hits!
Sure, Spence. Now. Not with RISP.
But he's been hitting it hard, I give him that.
tatis and machado both homer in the 1st inning. xander made an error, but our guy mike king got out of the frame unscathed.
I've seen this movie before. Maybe they'll change it up this time.
yeah, baby!
yes Rice!
That oughta do it, huh?
Base knock. Take it.
I love how the Sox brought in their lefty to pitch to Jones and Wells. They both get hits, then he walks Goldy, then they bring in the righty to pitch to Rice...
Oh wait. No Gamboa pitched to Rice.
Anyway I love Matchups.
fuck. still got a run in...
Motherfucker.
I thought that was a hit. damn I wanted more
A productive out! No, TWO productive outs! On one batted ball!
Nice easy out.
that was a bit much of a bat flip from story for the shit sox' first hit since the first inning.
3-4 for the kid!
Score several more. LFG!
at least he bunted this time. don't want bednar to have to get up or come in...
[140] seriously what a turd.
good challenge, adley! ; )
need the score truck to show up now!
5-zip!
It's a weird thought but I feel like we should let G hit here. Just to get a real swing.
[148] i hear ya, but then who mans 1B? already burned LGJ.
GRAND SLAM BABY!
WAHOO!!!
Hot fucking damn!
[149] fair point. Rice maybe? I just think G could use a real AB
Boom. That’s me done gents. Nasty.
[153] then you'd lose the dh, not that it matters at this point!
i imagine john schreiber will pitch the 9th
[155] yeah, true. Moot now.
beautiful! good night, banter. see ya tomorrow night!
good night all! great win!
Cheers y'all.
Sox fans are calling him "Woman Anthony".
Which is misogynistic, but... pretty funny too.
Ok I'd like to just end this tonight. That'd be nice!
ok a lot of pitches but otherwise I'll take it!
Fried threw twice as many pitches as Gray.
Although that was quick we did hit the ball hard twice. Hopefully a sign of something...
nice and quick there!
This Sonny Gray fluff party is going to make me puke. Get a grip, fellas.
I can’t stay up, have early morning PT. Have to keep my back strong. So the backbone chips don’t splice the spinal cord.
Grisham hasn't had many at bats since his IL stint,
Welcome back, Trent.
the announcers are so desperate to proclaim the two things the Red Sox did well as game changing moments,
[169] feel better!
i was still teaching when the game began. did the crowd give sunny grey the business in the 1st? i was surprised he didn't get an earful this season in the bronx after he completely shit on us, then shut us down. i'm surprised cc loved him so much since the little fuck hated being a yankee.
[174] I didn't notice if they did or didn't shit on him. I hate him. he was a shit pitcher for us and whined about it.
[173] my legs still work, so I’m Blessed.
HELL YES!
woo hoo! Way to go Garcia!
Well that sucked.
ok good Grisham!
Sonny out. Wow. Thank you, Tracy. Did he go to Boone School?
Rejoice! HUGE 2 out hit!
great at bat! key run.
Bad send. It was a bad send before Rice hit third base.
Fuck! Not even close.
Maybe not the best send, but we got a little insurance.
I have this play-by-play guy. It isn’t what he says, it’s his voice. Awful.
You could see Rice only approaching third before the camera panned to the left fielder. Wasn’t even close.
That was basically a contact play with a ground ball to third and a guy running home from 3rd. Just plain stupid.
Jazz is a baller.
Very little mention of how good a play that was by Jazz. Not a fan of this booth. I like Girardi on YES.
What a douche.
fuck contreras and fuck the shit sox.
jazz is so athletic
terrible send earlier
boat - do you see/speak to OK Jazz in Japan?
[176] glad you can walk the terrorists!
[192] They mentioned Jeffery Maier. That guy was the anti-Maier.
he is safe!
Go, Jones, Go!
All this analysis of the Red Sox botching things, no mention of Spencer Jones busting his ass down the line.
Jones! best k ever!
[194] Dude, I lost track of OK Jazz, since I quit social media. I have been thinking about him. I will try to reach out.
Lombard!!!
The KIDS!!!!!!!
the rookie!
I was gonna write, "And along came Jones" but my comments are taking forever to load. Probably my sketchy wifi.
Atta boy, Jazz! Keep the line moving!
I like this small ball. We're gonna need it even more in the next round [knocks wood].
[204] I think it's the site. Mine are slow to load too.
yes! nice bunt!
Somebody taught the Yankees how to bunt. Paulie would be proud.
Ha!
Is the site loading slowly for everyone else?
[211] Yes. No problem commenting on most random games during the year when a just a handful of people were around.
I ACCEPT THAT SAC FLY.
Great out!
Yeah reloading the page is very slow.
Okay I'm ACCEPTing that too.
All-in-all an acceptable rally.
LET'S GO YAN-KEES!! !!!
Best McMahon at bat of the year.
Hey, Lou Merloni! Is now the time to go for the strike out?
Woo-hoo!
I only said the small ball rally was acceptable to get the baseball gods on our side. I hope everyone knows that.
Walking Rice I get. Walking Rice to face Bellinger is weird. But I will take it!
This is amazeballs.
[200] i hear ya. he's a twitter guy, which i'm not. but, i see him there sometimes and we'll email every now and again. he seems to be doing great, as always! : )
[204] the site is very frustrating... waiting, errors, new browsers, etc.
damn
screw sogard. i wanted WW to have an easy peasy smooth outing. let that be the only black mark on, what i hope is, his 3 inning performance.
if I hit a home run and someone stuck a stupid green head on me it wouldn't feel like much of a celebration.
it's too late to text shaun p., but i'll get in touch with cult here in a few and hope they'll both join us for the DS, if we advance to face tampon.
I'm terrible at staying in touch with people. I appreciate that every fall I can come here and join yinz!
Jazz just goading that Sox announcer to come down from the booth and start throwing hands right now.
[232] it's one of the very few strong suits of mine, and i love being in touch with many of my banterites very/semi regulary. it's awesome seeing you online nearly daily! : )
i want DOUBLE DIGITS!!
[234] you are good at it!
and yes double digits please!
I still think Tracy took Gray out too early. But I'm thankful.
On the other side, everything I hate about Boone and Cashman is working in the Yankees favor right now (although they have made a small shift to small ball). It's a work turned upside down.
I really hope they bring Chapman in at some point just so he can get the last out and strike his pose while down by seven.
[231] No doubt. Will do.
I might even drag my Tokyo snob ass down to Yokelhama. (I barely ever leave the West side anymore) ;>)
[238] i like the way you think (and write)!
looking forward to finding out how many times we've scored 9 runs in two consecutive postseason games.
also, wow - the announcer just said 'left' field on the flyout to jones in RIGHT! (yikes)...
i can see taking will warren out there to get some other guys work, since it's been a while and will be another minute...
It WAS fun. Cheers, y'all. See ya' Saturday.
Thaaaaaaaasaa Yankees! Win!
Chai-to-Two!!
Fuck The Trop. Let's get payback for giving them our minor league stadium last season and them taking away a homer from Judge, just like the Shit Sox 4-Letter Network game took a homer away from our Captain.
LET'S FUCKING GO YANKEES!!!
[243] I'll be here! Can't wait!!! : )
[246]I take back what I said about the sox making the playoffs. This is the best outcome for season's end. : )
it's crazy how much boonie looks like torre. especially, at the beginning of his postgame presser
[231] Cult haz been summoned!
so baseball time eh? I almost missed it because I assumed 8pm start.
Evening all!
hiya cult!
The Trop is full, I didn't think that was legal.
Evening. Let’s go Yankees!
did they open the upper deck?
sigh too quick
What a bullshit start to this game.
GO YANKS!!!
That crowd better be Yankee fan majority!
Wells is sooo good @ ABS!
Whoa. Crazy movement on that knuckle curve. Read a good article today about Cole’s movement inside the dome. He really needs a DP here. So do I…
Keep this fucker off the bases.
Sweet!
abs our way through...
I think this motherfucker had 3 UCL surgeries. Sucks he’s this good.
Damn, George hit that well…
His pitch count is too efficient. Glad Jazz is at least making him work some…
The Rays’ catching tandem is below average throwing out runners. We should run on them!
There ya go! Need a single from Trent
CHIZZ JAZZ!
Fuck
nice
Nice K, then nice play!
Don’t let the bottom of the order beat you. Gah!
don't hit walls! lol
I can’t stand this Walls fucker. Get out of this NOW!
alright!
There ya go!
Alright ... time for the Good Guys!
Nice 4-pitch walk to Rice. Drew is frustrated.
Fucking terrible
Bellinger bad at bat. sigh
Fucking hell
Crap
these Rays aren't very likable
Blech
Tell me why there’s a fan in a Yankee jersey celebrating that Aranda home run.
Cole has had homer issues late int he season. Hate to see it here.
I can’t see the numbering system on my phone, but I agree that is quite easy to fucking abhor this rays team. Fuck them all straight to hell. Blech!
Motherfucker. Another 2-out extra base hit. Damnit!
Blech and MEH!
Need to get that run back NOW
At least these are long doubles and not homers. That was the logic of pitching him in the Trop.
My main concern is the lack of hard contact from the Yankees to match any of that.
I really like Luis Garcia, Jr. and hope he has some big moments this series. Sucks that got caught…
I knew he was toast when he swing at the first pitch which was several inches above the zone
I hate sayings like ‘he has as much pop as anyone in this building’, when what they mean is he has MORE pop than just about anyone. Irks the frick outta me…
Fucking hell. Absolutely awful. And none of these fuckers are real fans.
I fucking hate the rays and the stoopid trop
Booing throw overs is sooo incredibly dumb.
ok good finish!
[298]. Here both Rays and Yankees fans are booing the throw overs.
now can we just not swing at everything for a bit?
we're not going to get a hit
at least that was well hit.
Ya know, if we knew Rasmussen was going to be this good, maybe it’s a good idea we started Cole. Not quite a white flag, but …
Fucking pathetic at-bats. Just brutal, especially Grisham
Fucking pathetic at-bats. Just brutal, especially Grisham
Just putting something out into the universe. Rasmussen is no-hitting the Yankees through five innings.
1-0 seems somehow like 10-0
[308] yep right now it feels like a wider margin than it is.
[308] it does.
I remember going one night to the Stadium where it was Burnett against Kin Felix. After 3 batters, it was 3-0 and I just left.
sorry for the double post. using this site from my phone is really frustrating. moved to my laptop...
I’m kinda waiting to be down 1 in the 9th and Stanton pinch hits.
actually, it's MORE foul ground than most ballparks, *not* as much as any. argh!
this at-bat sucks. gonna be gerrit's last hitter.
why is the ground so foul?
nice finish!
SWEET!!!
Would you have taken five innings and one run from Cole? It’s honestly better than I would have expected.
So freaking nice to and the day on a K or Caminero. Although there’s no reason he can’t do the 6th
Thelarmis, did you happen to see the breakdown of Troy Aikman using that phrase or variations over and over during a game a couple weeks ago? “This secondary is as good as any football.” Or “This quarterback throws as nice a ball as anyone in the league.” It was comical.
Stop swinging at balls, please!
(321) He gone
broken bats = hits for the rays. We hit liners right at fielders.
[321] thankfully, i did not!
[320] i think they want a lefty for the lefty lane
[319] yup.
jesus. what the fuck are you looking at, cody???
Rays have been a charmed bunch this year.
No matter what happens these two games, I have faith in the post-season Stadium crowds.
i thought headrick was up and it'd be him. but, apparently, weathers first assignment back from injury is going to be a tough one in a crazy important position.
fantastic showing from weathers!
6 innings, no hits. total fucking bollocks!
[330] there is a joke about the weather in the dome here somewhere...
I can’t believe the Yankees are being no hit.
FUCK!!!
[332] ha!
Let's see here ... I miss the first two games ... the Yankees score 18 runs.
I show up for a game chatter, the Yankees have managed ZERO hits in 6 2/3rd innings.
Hrm ...
fucking terrible.
[336] cult!
Make that ZERO hits in SEVEN innings ... grrr.
[338] NOSTRA!
I've been here since before the game started!
[340] i saw that. i got here just a few minutes after you, but haven't seen you post since. i figured you scooted.
great job by blackburn!
let's hit the fucking beard off Assmussen now!
Hasn't been much to comment on ...
TIME FOR A HIT!
If you are going to swing at the first pitch, at least hit it hard.
this is fucking ridiculous.
Just about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.
What the heck was that?
stupid going for 3
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ... FUCK!
great hit. dumbest attempt for a triple in the history of history.
pinch hit stanton for mac in the 9th, then put cabby at 3rd...?
Zero benefit to getting to third. So stupid. Wouldn’t it have been nice to see Rasmussen pitch with a runner in scoring position there? Such a waste.
I assume that third base coach didn't tell him to go to third.
the only thing wells ever did that was dumber was at the voting polls...
Shakes my head
they have a really good no-name closer. never heard of the guy. i believe he was perfect in saves chances during the regular season. time to change that tonight.
anyone here gonna watch the friars-brew crew game after? apparently, the miz struck out two in the first.
[327] Like I said, Rays are a charmed bunch.

crap performance at the plate tonight. I know Rasmussen is good but we made it easy for him at times.
GAH!
Well, let's tip our caps ... and take the next one!
Night all!
fuck it all to hell. cam better do what assmussen did...
g'night.
Wasted a great pitching performance.
friars got to the miz in the 2nd with singles and walks. san diego up 2-nil
The Wells play sucked, but I can’t be terribly upset about this game. Cole was good, the bullpen was great. I really like that we’ve got Rodón, Schlittler, and Fried coming.
Offense needs to show up.
Game Two tonight! I expect big things! Let's go!!!
Terrible
Is this team bothered by the Trop when hitting? Their at bats have not been good.
Also terrible
I don’t like how this game has started at all
Those didn’t seem like bad at bats to me.
No swing and miss yet for any of the Rays.
Ad terrible decision to throw that
Leave it to Jazz.
This is a stupid inning.
The ball was already in the glove That is irritating.
What is jazz doing? Wow
First swing and miss. finally.
Phew. Managed to keep that to one run.
[383] I did miss Rice’s at bat. So I probably was mostly reacting to Garcia.
Nonsense park
Why is this ballpark allowed?
Jones and Lombard both 100mph+ off the bat.
First swing and miss on a fastball I think
I’m beginning to think I just hate all teams that are not the Yankees, because I really hate these Rays.
Schlittler has literally thrown about four pitches from the windup all game.
This game is making me absolutely ill.
