I’m intrigued by the idea of trading for Edwin Jackson.
I’d prefer the Yankees not trade for anyone. The rotation as it stands now is:
CC
AJ
Pettitte
Joba
Hughes
With Aceves, IPK and McCalister waiting in the wings. Melancn/Robertson/Marte should fill-in the bridge.
Now if the Yanks want to get fancy, they should go out and sign Sheets, Harden or Bedard (in that order of preference) as reasonably cheap insurance. I know that Boston’s attempt to do that with Smoltz and Penny did not work out, but that also might be a product of Dai-suck getting hurt and pitching like shit. These guys are all a bit younger.
By the way, Roll Tide Roll, everyone!
Tiger Woods now has a higher batting average than A-Rod with women in scoring position
