The Big Bopper…
Alfredo Aceves is headed for the DL; prospect Juan Miranda is headed for the Motor City.
The first game is set to start shortly after 1:00 pm. Game Two is just after 7. Javy and then Hughes vs Porcello and Bonderman.

Update: Looks like I linked too soon. Greg Golson is back up, not Miranda.
I expect Miranda will platoon with Thames at DH while Winn starts every day in left. Miranda isn't really a big bopper, though, more like a guy who hits a lot of doubles, some of which clear the wall.

Joe should just leave Javy in for the whole game so that there will be some bullpen left to pitch in the close game later on.
Anyone know if the 1:00 game will be televised an any channel other than YES? I'm in Boston and I get my games through MLBExtra Innings but I only see the 7:00 game scheduled.
[6] I thought it was going to be on Ch. 9 because last night's was supposed to be, but I might be wrong.
Also, Miranda's not the guy being called up, Greg Golson is back . . .
