Oh great, now I'm gonna picture Bill Shatner when I read anything by William. And old Star Trek will never be the same...

Thanks Alex! Getting a plug on the Banter is truly an honor.

Being thought of as the Bill Shatner of the blog world probably wouldn't be a bad thing. Who knows...maybe I can get a Priceline sponsorship?

When I was thinking of a name, Captains Blog seemed like a perfect idea, especially considering my adoration of Mattingly (hence the 23). Unfortunately, I didn't realize how unoriginal it was...there seems to be a Captain's Blog for every topic under the sun. I hope most of the content is more original than the name!

[3] I've actually never seen an episode of Star Trek, but thanks to google I can see you're the real McCoy.

[5] ???????
You've never seen an episode of Star Trek?
Gtfoh!
It came on every night on channel 11! You never even saw it by accident, after a game some night when you were too lazy to change the channel?

Wow. You're something else, william.
(And congrats on the blog! :)

[6] Thanks. I always preferred the Honeymooners and Odd Couple repeats. I never was a fan of Science Fiction, with the exception of the early X-files.

[7] Eat phosphorous? Sounds like a topic for Taster's Cherce.

[5] Others would disagree, but if you're going to watch any Star Trek, save the original TV show for last - start with The Next Generation.

Its all good though, really.
