When I was in high school, I went to Carnegie Hall one night to see the guitarist Stanley Jordan. Also on the bill was a guy named Bobby McFerrin, who put on a sensational show that I remember vividly to this day. Not too long after, he had a hit song and video. “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” came and went but McFerrin continued to have a productive and fascinating career. He’s a singular talent.

I always dug this tune:

Saw him do his thing with Chick Corea a few years ago. He's always seemed to be a really imaginative and interesting guy.

i remember seeing him conduct a symphony - free concert in Brooklyn - over 15 years ago. he was incredible.

Best ballgame national anthem I ever heard in person was Bobby McFerrin.

When I saw him he did a condensed version of "The Wizard of Oz" which was something.

[4] i'm pretty sure that's what he was conducting in B'lyn w/ the NY Symphony. something like that...
