I’ve got a piece in the Scorecard section of Sports Illustrated this week on “21,” the fantastic new graphic biography of Roberto Clemente.
Deadspin has a cool excerpt…
This one is a keeper and the ideal companion to David Maraniss’ definitive biography, “Clemente.”

That looks SWEEET!
Santiago really killed it, man.
I want gigantic posters of all of that. Awesome.
"Definitive biography of Clemente?" Hmmm, I might have something to say about that...
No offense intended, sir!
Ha ha! I just wish Maraniss had spelled my name right in the acknowledgements and sent me a copy of the book!
Jeez, I don't know how I missed this, both here on the site and in the mag as well. I'll have to check it out.
Wow this looks cool...I'm a big Clemente fan....he's the only non-Yankee that I revere like a Yankee.
Got my copy today. Its cooler than I imagined!
