Would be nice to take this series. I think Chatwood is going to fair better than Richards, though.

12 pitch at-bat for swisher, but chatwood wins the battle. hope he tired him out for chavez.

was not expecting an IBB.

just loaded up gameday.
looks like mike scoscia took the same class as girardi on ibb.

i'm going to have to look at this more closely, but it seems bart is walking more batters recently.
for a time there he was basically walking no one.

Rats!

7 RagingTartabull   ~  Aug 11, 2011 2:15 pm

I know its not a "major" award per se, but Bart has to be a mortal lock for AL Comeback Player, right??

8 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 2:27 pm

[7] Yeah, unless ESPN decides Ellsbury should get it, I guess.

9 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 2:31 pm

Oish.
That was a BP pitch.

10 Just Fair   ~  Aug 11, 2011 2:33 pm

Cano could roll outta bed and zip a ball 90 feet to hit the snooze on an alarm clock.

11 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 2:49 pm

Anybody know all the phaser settings? And why do the Yanks only have "kill" and "off" when it comes to URPs? Why not a "stun" every now and again?

12 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:00 pm

curtis adjusts to setting 5.2, "smash"

13 OldYanksFan   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:04 pm

Be nice to put it away here...

14 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:14 pm

[13] I was being nice. It didn't work.

15 Marek   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:19 pm

Geez, I forgot it was a one o'clock start.

16 RagingTartabull   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:20 pm

[8] I actually think fan voting factors into it a little bit

17 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:29 pm

[16] I guess. It seems like ESPN just anoints someone.

18 ms october   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:31 pm

seems like fernando rodney has been around for ever - especially for a middle reliever.

19 Marek   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:31 pm

Playing for one in the seventh inning? Ugh.

20 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:32 pm

The Chessmaster!

21 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:32 pm

[19] See, you were disgusted. Now Russell Martin comes in to run, and you're just confused.

The Chessmaster!

22 ms october   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:33 pm

[21] i'm confused.

23 Marek   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:34 pm

[21] Now I try to be amused.

24 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:35 pm

What the hell is going on?
My mlb.tv cut out, and I look at Gameday and it has Jeter batting from the left side.

25 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:35 pm

Oh, he walked?

26 ms october   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:37 pm

[24] castling.

27 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:37 pm

gardner seems better at bunting lately?

28 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:40 pm

[26] Hah! Perfect.

Damn, I wonder if any of those pitches to Curtis was in the strike zone.

29 ms october   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:43 pm

yay to those fundamentally sound angels.

30 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:43 pm

time to rip.

31 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:44 pm

Let's keep Cano on the team, what do you say?

32 Alex Belth   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:44 pm

Well, dowdee do da day!

33 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:44 pm

34 ms october   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:45 pm

cano driving the score truck!

35 Marek   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:45 pm

Totally set up by the sacrifice, too!

36 joe   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:46 pm

Scoreless inning turned into a grand slam. Not bad...

37 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:46 pm

rippity do dah, rippity day

38 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:46 pm

Funny, as the Yanks came to bat Michael Kay was saying that maybe we had not yet seen the Star of the Game.

39 Jon DeRosa   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:48 pm

rip the light fantastic, what a long strange rip its been

40 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:52 pm

Hamma time.

41 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:55 pm

Bobby Abreu, you are the nail.

42 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:56 pm

What's the matter, Torii, don't see anything you like?

43 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 3:56 pm

Torii Hunter, you are the nail.

44 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:00 pm

Throw the change-up!

45 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:00 pm

[40] U Can't Touch This?

46 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:01 pm

Yes, Mark Trumbo, you too.

Three Angels dancing on the head of a pin... but the pin just got Hammered.

47 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:03 pm

That girll in the last Corona commercial...♋

48 SFYankeeFan   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:08 pm

[40-46] Love it!

49 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:15 pm

Come on, Cory, get serious now.

50 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:15 pm

[48] D-Rob gets me excited.

51 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:16 pm

Oh, it's a Save situation! I lost track. (And my mlb.tv is not functioning at all now, dammit.)

52 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:17 pm

Now I can see again.
I don't think I'm gonna get mlb.tv next year.

53 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:18 pm

Now I wish I couldn't see.

I don't like this at all. WTF?

54 RIYank   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:22 pm

Thanks be to Mo.

Arguably the worst S he's ever notched, but I give thanks anyhow.

He could use a week off, no?

55 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:27 pm

Mo Saves (and thankfully, so does Jesus).

56 RagingTartabull   ~  Aug 11, 2011 4:38 pm

I'm still not worried at all about Mo. His velocity is exactly where its been the past 5 years, a few cutters have just tailed too far in to LH hitters with power. It happens, if he were throwing 88 or something that would be one thing but this looks like shit luck and bad location more than anything to me.
