Technical Difficulties

Alex had some issues with the domain name this morning, so some of you may have had some issues accessing the site. The issue is fixed now, but it may take a number of hours for domain name caches out in the wild to clear. Alex is one of those still affected, so there may not be any posts from him this morning. Sorry for any inconvenience.

[3] he's throwing 87 mph and has control of 4 pitches! at 50, that's rather impressive.

i wonder if ichiro can lace 2 bombs off him?! ; )

[2] the name of a cool mccoy tyner album on blue note records from 1970!

[3][4] Maybe Clemens wants a start in the Majors this year so his 5 year waiting period for the HoF resets. That way in 2017 when his PED controversy is ancient news, he will be considered again as a first round HoFer. His ego probably demands it, and right now when voted on in 2013 as he would normally be, he probably doesn't get in and he knows it.

[6] that gives the voters an extra half-decade to misremember!

[7] Evil genius.

[6] Interesting theory. Does make sense, but is Roger smart enough to think of it?

[6] A predominantly-power pitcher with an 87 mph fastball doesn't get a start in the majors, no matter how many pitches he controls (Moyer 4:9)

[10] Hah! We'll see. Roger's good buddy Nolan might just accommodate him and keep the love in Texas when the teams go to the expanded rosters.

[9] Well, he might be, if (as seems quite possible) it's the main thing he thinks about, day in and day out. And he might have smarter friends, too.

(6) I love it! The Yanks should resign him for insurance.

When you look over the Yankees roster right now, if you were to give it to someone 8 years ago, and say this will be the Yankees roster, they wouldn't believe it.

Jeter, ARod, Ichiro, Andruw Jones, Chavez, Pettite, Ibanez, Sabathia, Freddy Garcia, Derek Lowe.

I hope these folks can hold up long enough to get us to the promised land, but so far, so good. Ichiro hitting 2 bombs and seeing Chavez play really well again is heartwarming.

The poor folks in Oakland and unfortunate in Seattle probably feel differently.

Crawford under the knife Thursday.

The white flag. Or towel. Maybe it's a white towel.
