Man... AJax looks like he's gonna be a stud. I read a number of scouting reports on him, and while they thought he was talented, nobody expected this kind of production.

I afraid he's one that got away.

Trout would NEVER have done that.

Hello? Hello?

[3] I'm here. puttering about the house though.

I just want someone to tell me who to root for.

[5] Tigers

7 rbj   ~  Oct 6, 2012 6:15 pm

Damn. near collision.

8 rbj   ~  Oct 6, 2012 6:27 pm

Infield fly!

9 OldYanksFan   ~  Oct 6, 2012 6:32 pm

[6] Really? You think we have a better chance again the Tiggers? Why?

10 rbj   ~  Oct 6, 2012 6:36 pm

[9] No, it's just that if the Yankees lose in the LDC or LCS, the Tigers are my back up.

One of the announcers sounds like Lou Pinella on queludes

12 rbj   ~  Oct 6, 2012 7:01 pm

I'm dreading who gets the Yankee games.

Orsillo is a great announcer. Buck Martinez is actually good, but his voice is all gravel, which is not appealing.

14 OldYanksFan   ~  Oct 6, 2012 7:13 pm

However... Orsillo has the great voice, but was never a ball player. Buck was a Catcher and knows the game. It would be nice if they had a 3rd guy, like a Cone, who was all baseball experience and accumen.

Is Boomer not available, or is he part of another crew?

16 rbj   ~  Oct 6, 2012 7:45 pm

That was close.

17 rbj   ~  Oct 6, 2012 8:03 pm

Tiggers win.

18 RIYank   ~  Oct 6, 2012 8:47 pm

I think we should be rooting for the Tigers to win in five.

Oakland is a much better team. The Tigers can thrown Justin Verlander at you, but if he goes twice in the ALCS, I think that makes them much weaker than the A's.

Just turned on the Reds game thinking I was in a time warp seeing them in the Playoffs. And Cueto hurts himself delivering a pitch in the 1st inning after getting 1 out. What a FUCKING DISASTER. Man that sucks!

20 OldYanksFan   ~  Oct 6, 2012 9:39 pm

[18] We see Verlander twice in any event.
As magic as Oakland has been, the Tigers are a stronger team.
I'm rooting for Oakland.

[20] I'd love to see the Yankees beat Detroit after losing to them in 06 and 11. But need to beat the stinkin' O's first and foremost.

22 Ara Just Fair   ~  Oct 7, 2012 1:21 am

Buck Showalter is the Bill Belichick of baseball. "cept he hasn't won shit!

23 RIYank   ~  Oct 7, 2012 5:54 am

[21] But if he goes first, we could see him in three games.
Oakland outscored opponents by 99 runs, Detroit by 44. That's not magic! The A's are very good.
