Word has it that Eric Chavez has signed with the D backs. Shame. I liked rooting for Chavey. Does this mean the Yanks overspend for one year of Youk?

1] I think Youk is on his way, and has the Yanks over a barrel.

Unless Ferocious Scott Brosius or Charlie (Old man Boggs can ride the pine) Hayes wants to come back for a year?

If Keppinger was the righty half of a 3B platoon the Yanks were trying to assemble...who was the lefty? Juan Francisco of the Braves, maybe?

I have a sinking feeling that this just won't go right for the Yanks regardless of what they choose. Cashman seems like he's reading Cliff Notes on Moneyball with a few pages missing...
