I saw it this weekend and will describe it as a really entertaining, perfectly nice...HBO movie. I can't help but think what someone like Spike Lee would've done with it.

But regardless, it's perfectly enjoyable fluff. And while that's all well and good, you gotta think Jackie deserves something a little better than fluff.

Sad to report that I really though that the 1951 movie was better. The actors did a nice job but unfortunately I am old enough to remember Jackie as a player. For a young audience I guess it is ok because they need to learn the history. I guess Ralph Branca was a good source since he is alive but I was under the impression that Leo was banned for associations with mobsters not for an affair with Laraine Day.
