Over at Dodger Thoughts our old pal Jon Weisman and I talk about the two-game Yankee-Dodgers series. I leave off with telling him to kiss my ass, which is a Dodger Thoughts polite way of telling him to go fuck himself. Welcome to the Bronx.
Games We Play
Nice banter with Jon, but all due respect - anybody who doesn't want Mattingly to manage their team should go eff themselves with a bat donut and pinetar. I don't know if he's any good, but he's still the man around here.
As long as the Yanks don't stink up the joint, it'll be fun to see the Dodgers in town.
Well, he's also the man around here because he never had to manage around here.
Nah, he's the man around here because he's the man.
But you're right that Yankee fans would turn on him fast if he was a fuck up mananger, which I don't think he is.
He is the Man, of course. That that is always subject to change if you are managing a losing, or worse, under-performing team. He'd have to mess up personally to lose his "MAN" status though.
"anybody who doesn't want Mattingly to manage their team should go eff themselves with a bat donut and pinetar."
It can't be lost on you folks that you had dibs on Mattingly to manage ...
And I for one was relieved when he didn't get the job.
When Torre announced he was leaving, much of the sentiment in Los Angeles was for Tim Wallach.
So it's raining there today?
It's really hard to resist saying things that we wouldn't be allowed to say on DT, isn't it? I mean, fuck.
In Alex's house, it's okay - fuck away ...
What, you aren't shocked? Not even a little frightened?
No, I curse all the time. Just not on Dodger Thoughts.
I would have applauded the choice of Eli Wallach...
Too bad Vin Scully couldn't make the trip. I would have loved to listen to his broadcast.
