"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

Wait–What?

Yeah, the Yanks were down by a run in the 8th inning and yeah all seemed lost but then came an unexpected shipment of protein power from the rarely-seen Score Truck.

Double take. Spit take. And we’ll take it, thank you very much.

10-4, good buddy.

So, the Score Truck has been on ice up there in the upper midwest? That explains it all!

Trying to wean myself from the games but snuck a peak when they were 3-3 then down 4-3. Watched the 8th and watched them take the lead (boy was that a terrible pickoff move) then turned it off figuring I didn't want to see them implode. My idea of substituting Soccer is not working yet. What a boring sport!

[3] Yeah, I'm one of those heathen who find soccer totally dullsville. Perfect for a saturday afternoon nap, but otherwise forget it. Up here in Canadia we do get some other, oddball sports televised, including rugby and Australian rules football. Those are pretty amusing matches to watch, even if one is never quite sure just what the heck is going on.

I almost...ALMOST turned the game off when the score was 4-3 but I'm glad I stuck it out and watched the rest of it. Nice outburst. I would've been cool with the 6-4 score, but I think we've earned the right to be a little greedy and take some more runs after the shit-show that has been the last few games!
