Never mind the setbacks:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Semi-Tough was a very funny book. Especially the stuff about the frig. Never mind. North Dallas Forty was a better movie than the book it was based on. The locker room scenes were excellent.
Took me a minute of googling to figure out if a grade 1 strain is the most or least severe of the quad strain grades. Fortunately, grade 1 is the least severe on a scale of 1 to 3.
...Good thing Arod is down rehabbing with the Tampa team because if he were in the Bronx yesterday afternoon I'm sure it would've been a grade 3 strain for the Captain. Fuggin' Arod.
Cripes, just tuned in -- it's seriously raining. What's the prognosis?
Just put the fucking tarp on already.
I HATE baseball in the rain.
Finally.
Restart @ 9:55
game scheduled to start again at 9:55
[6] great minds drink alike! i'm gonna go with some dale's pale ale, but not til later, around the witching hour...
[8] Boont Amber Ale!
Nostra!
The boys are back on the road!
Not playing any dates near you though.
Going to 4 shows at the beginning of next month.
3 in SF, 1 in LA.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, we're back!
Uh, so they took the tarp off and it's raining just as hard as it was before they took the tarp off?
That sounds brilliant!
Gritty might just have saved the game with that play.
[9] good stuff? i see it, but haven't tried it.
is it an unfiltered beer?
[10] phish? my buddy just saw them on the 6th. not sure where...denver, maybe.
Grit!
[14] Nope, OLD-SCHOOL micro from Cali.
Heh, just a little bit off in your guess, they played SPAC in upstate New York on the 6th ...
I was wrong though, they are playing by you ... two shows in Alpharetta next week ...
Robbie RBI!
How very Cano-like ...
Preston Claiborne is clearly a keeper.
It's no joke son, Claiborne is good.
[20] Jobber who?
Holy Shit. What a fucking throw!
I came in to see both Gritners's and Cano's RBI hits, but what did Gardner do in the field [13}?
That was the longest put out on a fly I can remember.
[24] Ball into the LC gap, took a weird bounce off the wet grass and abruptly changed directions from GGBG's right to left side. Without breaking stride, Gritner reached up and grabbed the bouncing ball with his bare hand and threw it in, holding Mauer to a double.
Otherwise, he would have been on 3rd with 1 out, and with the weather seemingly getting worse by the minute, a run from the Twins seemed like it might win a rain-shortened game ...
[26] Thank you
Uh oh ...
Dang, I thought that was a routine grounder to SS, and a possible DP. Now trouble.
1 down ... now, 2 more!
Uh, fuck.
Mauer could not believe that Logan would throw three sliders in a row. That was a big SO.
This might be the last strike of the game ...
Uh, I think it's time to put the time back on ...
OK, lucky works. Reminds me of my son's little league games.
Logan gets to run off the field. This game should be called NOW.
How miserable this night must be for the Twins from top to bottom.
I live less than 15 miles from Yankee Stadium, and it has hardly rained here all night. Weird...
Cone is just killing it right now, totally taking Kay to school.
Nice win on a sloppy night.
