Take Off (To the Great White North)

bags-plane-empire-state

Back to their roles as spoilers the Yanks look to give the Blue Jays a hard time and a headache this weekend.

Here’s hoping they do just that.

Never mind those scruffy bastids:

Let’s Go Yank-ees!

9 rbj   ~  Sep 23, 2016 6:55 pm

Mitchell is not long for this game.

10 rbj   ~  Sep 23, 2016 6:59 pm

Nor is my interest in it.

11 rbj   ~  Sep 23, 2016 7:01 pm

Phew, could have been much worse

12 rbj   ~  Sep 23, 2016 7:05 pm

Very courteous of th BJs to return the error

13 rbj   ~  Sep 23, 2016 7:12 pm

Le sigh

14 rbj   ~  Sep 23, 2016 8:00 pm

This game is putting me to sleep. That and having mowed the lawn after work.

15 RIYank   ~  Sep 23, 2016 8:19 pm

Yeah, not much to this one.

16 thelarmis   ~  Sep 23, 2016 9:15 pm

At least the blow jays didn't reach double digits.

Been a lot of innings since we scored a single fucking run...

17 thelarmis   ~  Sep 23, 2016 11:44 pm

we've allowed 666 runs this season.

i would like the yankees to throw shutouts for the remainder of the season.

much appreciation,
-satan.

seamus - I hail satan *every* night, my friend!

I've played in Denton before. Univ of North Texas is there, which is an unbelievably great music school.

20 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:06 pm

OK offense, show up today

21 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:33 pm

here comes the bludgeoning. i'm kinda surprised it'll have waited until the 2nd inning...

22 RIYank   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:38 pm

Ooh, I forgot. Have I missed much?

23 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:42 pm

At least the defense has shown up.

[22] Aside from the booth getting on Joe for walking out of his press conference, no.

24 RIYank   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:42 pm

Whoa. Why did he walk out?

25 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:46 pm

There were questions about his bullpen management in yesterday's clusterfuck.

26 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:50 pm

huh. shocked cc got out of it. i guess the bludgeoning will just have to wait a little bit longer...

27 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:51 pm

GI Joe really needs to be more accountable. wish i could make that kinda money and walk out when i don't like a question. can't wait for a new manager...

28 RIYank   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:51 pm

Weird. He's so thick-skinned.

He's the fourth-best bullpen manager in the past 20 years, according to 538. I guess you guys already saw that.

29 RIYank   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:54 pm

I don't want a new manager. I'm sure the next manager will be worse. There's no doubt in my mind.

30 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 3:56 pm

I think it was more frustration at the way the season is going. There was a glimmer of hope in August, but not now.

Yankees now shut out for 21 straight innings.

31 RIYank   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:02 pm

Did you see that the Reds' pitching staff has negative WAR? They're actually worse than a bunch of replacement players. It's never happened before.

32 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:06 pm

Now 22 innings.

33 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:12 pm

Good luck getting that $30 mil, Joey Batflips

34 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:23 pm

35 RIYank   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:23 pm

Over the next few games, we'll be finding out how high rbj can count.

36 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:30 pm

he's already well past a drummer's high point.

37 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2016 4:30 pm

[29] i'm sure you're right. but still...

anyway, i'm off to go play a cool gig in the city.

43 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 5:30 pm

Fuck

44 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 5:43 pm

27!

45 rbj   ~  Sep 24, 2016 5:45 pm

And what a waste of a fine pitching performance by CC

46 Chyll Will   ~  Sep 24, 2016 11:07 pm

Joe kinda betrayed his lineup putting in guys who did very little if anything to get them contending again, and those guys ended up betraying him. I wouldn't doubt it if the rest of the team is like, well fuck it then, lets just play out the string and go home. It's almost like any little break the team gets, management feels guilty about it and devises a way to punish themselves for it. Fuck mixing and matching, this is just abnormal behavior.

47 seamus   ~  Sep 25, 2016 10:55 am

[19] Oh, I didn't know that about Denton. *hail satan*
