I still think the HoF voting is full if isht, but I respect most of the players chosen... most. That said, too bad for Jorge. He could have at least stuck around for a good while, but neither he nor Bernie got much love from the beginning, which is just head-shakingly sad. Then there's Lee Smith, who appeared to be as dominant as Eckersley (if not more so) in the National League, failing to get the vote for the last time.

I kinda think if you're going to use higher math to determine if a player's career is worthy of honor, it should probably apply across the board and include players who have been in the Hall from the beginning until now. Am I wrong in thinking that hasn't been done yet?

Feel bad that Jorge fell off so quick. Not a HoFer, but still . . . Catchers are underrepresented in the Hall, they've got to be held to a different standard given the demands of the position.

Nice to see Moose getting some love.

The Lee Smith snub is a crime.
