"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

Quelle Dommage

You all know the news by now. Greg Bird, doing his best to be the new version of Nick “Bones of Balsa Wood” Johnson, is hurting again. Surgery. Out for a few months. Man, what a drag. I feel for the kid and hope he gets better soon. In the meantime, this creates a chance for someone to fill in and do some work. Mr. Walker?

Hard to believe the season begins in a couple of days. Been an awfully long winter. Be nice to get back to it.

Thinking poor bird may be another Nick Johnson.

For fun, take a look at this: why you can't steal first. Interesting history bit. http://nowiknow.com/why-you-cant-steal-first-base/

I was lazing about last night when I realized, "Holy Shit! The season starts tomorrow!" And then I realized I had my days screwed up. Ha. If I had planned better months ago and realized the Yanks were opening in Toronto during my spring break I may have headed that way. Alas. Go Yankees!
