Or Theatrics is More Like My Tactics

celtsbulls1

We interrupt the baseball talk for a New York minute to appreciate the fantastic first round playoff series between the defending champion Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls. The series is tied at three games apiece. Four of those six games have gone to overtime. One game went to double overtime and last night, they played a triple OT.

We can only hope Game 7 tomorrow night is not a letdown.  No matter who prevails this has been riveting stuff.

The C's without Garnett are like, well the Yankees without Alex...

;)

Yeah, but they've got tons of fight and haven't rolled over. You've got to admire that about the defending world champs.

Basketball's the one where they wear shorts and bounce the ball, right? So when did the Bulls get good again?

Yeah, I was riveted by the first game...I watched it for 45 minutes (which is the longest I've watched an NBA game in years). Of course, the only reason I tuned in was that the Alabama spring football game was scheduled to follow the game. Boy, the NBA can sure drag out the last two minutes of a game. I knew the game was going into OT, I even looked at my wife as Paul Pierce walked up to the free throw line and said, "Betcha he misses one of these to send this game in to overtime, there's no way we're gonna get to watch football anytime soon..." Even though we missed the first quarter of football (for those who are interested, the Crimson team beat the White team 14-7), we did get to see some exciting basketball (heck, I even tuned in to the end of last night's game and now, I might even check out game seven).

Bulls are very young, like an amped up professional version of a college team. They've been improved the past few years, but man, they've got kids who can just jump out of the gym. True, the Celts don't have a long term shot at the title this year without Garnett but even for casual hoops fans, this one has been memorable. Especially with the other series being eh so far.

[2] That's what I'm saying...

This series shows us just how much better the C's are than the Bulls.

Imagine the Yankees in the playoffs with the team they are fielding this evening, trying to win a World Series...

Who boy!

: )

[3] When they got lucky and were able to pick Derrick Rose.

[5] The Celts are playing on playoff reflex, and Rajan Rondo is playing above himself now. Neither gets past Cleveland, though.
