I'm tellin' ya, as revered as he is in Japan, I see no reason he would want to come and manage the Yanks. It's a step down for him, IMO

[3] How do you turn down the Yankees though if they come calling? No bigger stage in all of baseball, and for man with his "confidence" it would be the ultimate ego boost to win here..

That being said, word through the grapevine here is that a team with more money like the Tigers, Hawks or even the button-down Yomiuri Giants may poach him with a huge offer..oh, and I hear he likes the company of Japanese ladies as well so that may keep him here (if not his wife!)

The only person I'm interested in seeing in Yankee pinstripes from Japan any time soon is Yu Darvish!
