No North Dallas Forty either. I'd easily put that above a bunch on that list.

I guess 61* wasn't eligible ...

I think "Rollerball" actually merits inclusion, even if it isn't a "real" sport.

Am I the only one who thinks Bang The Drum is a great baseball movie? And whaddabout Alibi Ike?

I don't care what anyone says, the sports scenes (just talking the sports/business scenes right now) of Jerry Maguire are some of the most acute observations of the intersection between sports, money, and pop culture ever made in a film.

Out of the 25 on the DN list, these are the ones that make my list - in order.

10. Bad News Bears
9. Eigth Men Out
8. Caddyshack
7. Raging Bull
6. Rocky
5. Hustler
4. Bull Durham
3. Slap Shot
2. Breaking Away
1. Hoop Dreams

'Pride of the Yankees'? Puh-leeze. Although I'd be interested in seeing the remake about the life of Derek Jeter. Billy Crystal playing Torre?

this list had me right up until they put "Hoosiers" over "Rocky"

I'm sorry but Hoosiers is just not that great, regardless of what Bill Simmons claims

How could I forget the classic, The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings? Also although it was a TV movie it shouldn't be excluded how about The Soul of the Game.
