Moving comment up here to top thread (for the moment, anyhow!). I'm with those who think it counts as a classic win last night and that Damon's 9-pitch grinder and his insanely alert dash for third (a wtf moment of Yankee fandom, all time?) is flat-out immortal now. No way Lidge drilled Tex intnetionally, I'm surpriused anyone is thinkign it, myself. He was RATTLED, we were saying it in the bar soon as Damon landed on third. Lidge has had a very shaky season and this was ultimate pressure. The pitch Alex hit (so satisfying!) was a BAD PITCH.

AJ is just fine on 3 days, the issue is Pettitte on three (Sabathia goes 7th any which way). Going gaudin is essentiaslly conceding game 5 to Lee, going AJ aims to steal a 3-2 win or some such. Gaudin cannot be judged even against his own semi-adequate standards after sitting as long as he has. I ac tually think the ALCS pitching pretty much dem anded the 3 man rotation, we live or die with our 3 horses (and one centaur). You can't concede a WS game, And I absolutely go Molina for his 2-3 at-bats against Lee. We'll have a lousy bottom of the order till the 6th. So do they.

Gardy? Drag bunt single, sb, run scored. Easy.

Big night.

It's only immortal if the Yankees win it all. But if they do, I agree completely.

Am I the only one upset about F*X broadcast? The narrow angles kept you from seeing that there was a sift on when Damon stole 2&3rd.
