Beat of the Day

They say I’m ugly but it just don’t faze me.

This one was suggested by Diane. I always smile when I hear this record, just never tire of it (from back when Tupac was one of the Underground’s back-up singers).

And dig this, a fun mash-up that a friend of mine did, mixing Lovely Rita with the Humpty Beat.

Powzers.

Did Lackey get work done on his teeth? I noticed this during the ALCS and again during yesterday's press conference. He isn't as monstrously ugly as he used to be.

Cliff, I see a lot being written about how weak this year's free agent class is and how Cashman says next year's is a lot stronger, any chance you can give us a head's up on next year. Please forgive me for being so impudent. Would explain though why the Yankees are not going crazy this year nor the Sox really, and what lies ahead.

mlbtr.com: Yankees Near Deal With Nick Johnson
6:13pm: The deal is now near completion, says Davidoff. Pending a physical, Johnson will agree to a one-year deal with the Yankees worth about $5.5MM.

[6] JD is screwed. He will at best get 2/$22 and that may not be with a contender. So, for the teams that can't afford Holliday, who needs JD's services?

I still want Damon. There's no reason for a team with these resources to have a black hole in left field.

P.S. If we sign Nick, does that mean Cashman is a no-go on Holliday? It would seem to.
