And You Don’t Stop

Wind and rain and then some. It’s cold and the wind is making a racket out there. Good day to hang at home and making something warm and tasty.

Rainy, dreary here; not windy, I guess we'll get that tomorrow. I'm going to make some soup and something with a lot of basil and garlic, but I won't decide what until I get to the market.

Rainiong here in DC area, too. By the way, Alex, do you take these pictures yourself? If so kudos galore. If not, it would be nice to include attribution when available.

we had massive buckets of rain here in Atlanta the last coupla days. dreary and miserable. huge puddle in my driveway, which made me none too happy. and apparently i need to check the weather stripping in my trunk - some water got in and on some of my gear. not good!

[1] i love soup! and believe it or not, i'm good w/ basil & garlic, too. i'll be over for dinner! i hope i don't have to dress nicely though - i'm wearing a Munson 15 t-shirt! : )

[3] they had that on at my gig last night and i said to the bass player: "ya know, there aren't many things in this world that i care about less, than college basketball."

oh well, i've got instruments to practice and music to compose. can't wait! : )

ps - the "todd drew" piece has really come along very well. there's still the entire solo section to write, which is going to be a bitch - that's gonna take awhile and i'm not sure when i'll get to that part...

[5] Wow, great!
Turns out, it's Thai eggplant that the garlic and basil will enhance. Tom yum soup.
Sports shirts are de rigueur chez RIYank, so no problem there!

Happy 60th birthday to William H. Macy.

A great multi-faceted actor.

Here's a rainy day topic for you all:

Best currently active actor/actress to never win an Oscar ...

[7] dude. that meal sounds exquisite, elegant and downright amazing! no joke. i love thai food, eggplant & tom yum soup. i guess i usually get the tom chai soup (wait, that's not how you spell it - the coconut soup). sounds like i need to bring in the spicy thai basil chicken dish i love from this place tonight:

i might not do the soup though. it's possible i imbibe my first ales in a coupla weeks later on...

btw, the munson shirt is really awesome and i wear it around the house all the time. my brother has always wanted to get me a munson shirt, but i don't care for jerseys and i already have enough other navy blue yanks gear. they recently issued a cool road gray, stone-washed type, of t-shirt. has "Munson 15" on the back, New York on the front and the coolest part is on the side, it has 15 in a circle with pinstripes (like the retired number) and underneath it, it says "The Captain", in bold letters (no quotes). i loves it!

[9] i know as much about movies/oscars, as i do college hoops!

last movie i saw in the theater was Lord of the Rings. before that, i think it was beavis and butthead in 1995, or something like that.

now, if someone wants to talk about Terry Gibbs' legacy as a legendary vibraphonist, i'm quite in the know! : )

Wow, no kidding. Huh. And I thought I was going to have to have a tray of PB&J sandwiches for you, because you're such a picky eater.

15 thelarmis   ~  Mar 14, 2010 1:03 am

[14] neh, i'm not as bad as i make it out to seem. it's fun giving you and Ms. O. fodder with which to poke fun at me! ; )

besides, PB&J wouldn't work - i don't eat jelly!!! : )

i hope your dinner was delectable; i'm sure it was! i did indeed end up bringing in the spicy thai basil w/ chicken and it was superb.
